Matakuliah Metodologi Penelitian Pendidikan Kimia

Kompetensi/Competencies

Memiliki kemampuan dalam: (1) memahami hakekat penelitian sebagai metode ilmiah,            (2) memahami kedudukan dan fungsi penelitian sebagai wahana pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi, dan untuk menemukan solusi atas masalah-masalah kemanusiaan dan pembangunan, (3) mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis masalah penelitian berdasarkan rujukan yang relevan dan mutakhir,  (4) merancang penelitian sesuai dengan sifat permasalahan dan karakteristik sasaran penelitian  dengan prosedur yang baik dan benar, (5) mengkomunikasikan hasil rancangan  penelitian sesuai dengan kaidah pelaporan ilmiah./Having abilities: (1) To comprehend the nature of research as a scientific approach, (2) To  comprehend  the position and the function of research in the development of science and technology, and in the efforts for  finding solutions of humanistic problems and development, (3) to identify and analyze research problems based on relevant and current references, (4) to design studies in accordance with the nature of the problems and the research objectives using suitable  and correct procedures, (6) to communicate the design of the research study in accordance with the rules of scientific reporting.

Bahan Kajian/Subject Matters

Konsep, prinsip, kaidah dan norma metode ilmiah dan penerapannya dalam pelaksanaan penelitian kualitatif dan penelitian kuantitatif yang meliputi: identifikasi dan perumusan masalah penelitian, kajian pustaka/teori, variabel penelitian, perumusan hipotesis, rancangan atau desain penelitian, populasi dan sampel, instrumen penelitian, pengumpulan dan ana­lisis data, penyusunan usulan penelitian  sesuai dengan kaidah penulisan ilmiah./Concepts, principles, rules and norms of the scientific method and their application in qualitative and quantitative research, including: identification and formulation of research problems, literature review/theory, definition of variable, formultion of hypothesis, research design, population and sample, research instruments, collection and analysis of data, designing a research proposal in accordance with the rules of scientific writing.

Tujuan/ Objectives

Setelah mengikuti perkuliahan, melakukan diskusi, membaca literatur dari berbagai sumber belajar, mahasiswa memiliki kemampuan dalam: (1) Memahami hakekat, prinsip, kaidah dan norma dalam penelitian pendidikan kimia/sains, (2) Mengidentifikasi dan merumuskan permasalahan dan isu-isu pembelajaran kimia, (3) Menganalisis berbagai literatur yang relevan dan menuliskan hasil kajian dalam bentuk penulisan ilmiah,                       (4) Mendefinisikan variabel dan merumuskan hipotesis penelitian kuantitatif,                               (5) Mendesain penelitian kualitatif dan kuantitatif, (6) Menentukan populasi, sampel dan partisipan dalam penelitian kuantitatif dan kualitatif, (7) Mengembangkan instrumen penelitian dan cara pengumpulan dan analisis data kuantitatif dan kualitatif,                                (8) Memahami cara melakukan penelitian tindakan kelas (classroom action research),                (9) Memahami metode penelitian research and development (R & D), (10) Merancang usulan penelitian dengan mengikuti kaidah penulisan ilmiah./By having a lecture, discussion, review literature from various sources, students should be able to: (1) comprehend the nature, principles, and rules in chemistry/science education research, (2) identify and formulate problems and issues in chemistry learning, (3) analyze several relevant literatures and write the result of study in scientific paper, (4) define variable and formulate the hypothesis of quantitative research, (5) design quantitative and qualitative research,                    (6) determine population, sample and participants in quantitative and qualitative research, (7) develop the research instrument and how to collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data, (8) understand the method of classroom action research, (9) understand the method of research & development (R & D) design, (10) design the reseach proposal using scientific rules
